Clinics

Under the jurisdiction of Solapur Municipal Corporation, there are currently 7 clinics operating on an OPD basis. All these clinics charge a nominal fee of ₹10/- as case paper fee for primary medical treatment of patients and provide necessary primary medical facilities. As per the government policy, facilities are being provided free of cost.

Maternity Homes

Currently, there are 7 maternity homes functioning under Solapur Municipal Corporation. All types of pre-natal and post-natal medical facilities are provided to the women of the city through these maternity homes. Currently, under the National Health Program, all types of facilities are being provided free of cost to pregnant women.

Ambulance Charges

As of today, there are a total of 12 ambulances operational under the Health Department of Solapur Municipal Corporation. Out of these ambulances, 8 ambulances are for maternity homes and 4 ambulances are for UPHC.

Hearse Charges

As of today, there are a total of 4 hearses operational under the Health Department of Solapur Municipal Corporation and Kailas Rath has been made available for the convenience of the citizens of the city.

Electric/Gas Cremation

The last rites of citizens who have died in Civil Hospital and other hospitals in Solapur city and at home are performed through electric crematoriums at Modi and Rupabhavani.

Issuing Nursing Home Registration Certificate

Under the Maharashtra Nursing Home Registration Act 1949, nursing homes/hospitals/clinics in the city are issued registration certificates for a period of 3 years through the online system by the Solapur Municipal Corporation Health Department. For this registration certificate, a fee of ₹10500/- is charged for a period of 3 years as per the government decision dated 6th July 2019.

Nursing School Training

As per the government and administrator order no. 68, training is provided to students of private nursing schools in Solapur by the Municipal Corporation Health Department at a rate of ₹200/- per student per day at maternity homes and ₹133/- per student per day at Primary Health Centers.

Birth and Death

All work of the Birth and Death Department of Solapur Municipal Corporation is conducted online. For this, visit solapurcorporation.org

To register the child's name in the birth record, submit an online application on the Municipal Corporation's website along with the required documents. After that, the process is completed as per rules and upon approval at the Deputy Registrar level, the concerned citizen is informed via SMS. Once the child's name is registered in the birth record, it cannot be changed. As per the circular of the Deputy Director of Health Services, Ref. Aamaji/Kaksha-83/Name Change/8153, 332/2008, dated 8th September 2008, no changes can be made to the child's registered birth name once recorded.

Yes, there are two types of correction services in the birth record: 1) Spelling Correction 2) Birth Registration Correction. Citizens can submit an online application for spelling correction and birth registration correction by attaching all required documents in PDF format. The record is approved within 21 working days from the date the application is received online by the Birth and Death Department.

If the birth/death certificate is not registered, citizens should submit an online application and obtain a non-availability certificate (Form 10A and 10B) from the Deputy Registrar and the Record Keeper Department respectively. Along with these, the prescribed documents should be submitted to the Tehsildar to obtain an order for registering the birth/death. After that, upon submitting this order to the Deputy Registrar's office, the registration is done at the Deputy Registrar's level.
